Thanks to Rice Management Company, which manages the Rice University endowment, Houston’s 270,000-square foot historic Sears building on Main Street is now being renovated into The Ion. “The structure is being designed to support businesses at all stages of the innovation lifecycle and provide resources for Houstonians seeking to participate in the innovation of the economy.” – Doug Miller, Director of news and media relations in Rice University’s Office of Public Affairs.

Local Bounti is a Portfolio Company out of Montana and will be the first of Brightmark Partners company's to use Stemmons Enterprise. Local Bounti will build facilities for hydroponic vegetable farms and distribute to various organizations across the nation.
